Personal Style

For a kid who isn't afraid of heights or climbing things Ess has always been strangely hesitant about swings.  To this day she won't spend very long sitting on the swing seat.  She's discovered, though, that draping herself over the seat and swinging that way is a lot of fun so now she has at it!

Ess was excited about finding beautiful pinecones in the park until she discovered that this variety has little bitey thorns on the tips of each lobe.  Yowch!

At the end of each day Essie wants me to take out whatever hairdo I've given her and put her hair up in a looped ponytail bun so it's out of her way.  Today her decorative flower elastic became (as my niece pointed out) my impromptu wrist corsage as a result.
